Barbados has many good restaurants. Most are located on the west and south coasts. Here are a few of these
CHAMPERS
This is our favourite restaurant. It is owner run and offers consistently high quality food and service in a beautiful setting overlooking Accra beach. If you like fish you should try the crusted barracuda which is excellent but there are also a selection of meat and vegetarian dishes. The menu doesn’t vary much but the food is always excellent. They often have a special fixed price menu $100 a head.
CAFÉ LUNA
This roof top restaurant is located in the boutique hotel Little Arches opposite Miami beach. It is a lovely restaurant with good food and a pleasant ambience
CAMELOT (AT COBLERS COVE)
This hotel restaurant has an award winning Chef and an excellent menu for some of the year it offers the Rediscover Barbados Menu which although a very limited menu is excellent value.
THE FISH POT
This small restaurant at Little Good Harbour (another boutique hotel) is definitely worth a visit.
TAPAS
In Hastings on the south coast this small restaurant offers tapas as well as full meals in a lovely waterside location
NARU
This restaurant adjoining the south coast boardwalk has a good selection of dishes and often has specials.
ST LAURANCE GAP
There are a number of restaurants and bars around this picturesque bay. One of the most recently refurbished is PRIMO which overlooks the bay.
THE CRANE RESORT
Beyond the airport on the south east cast is the Crane resort. There are a number of restaurants but the two on the cliff have spectacular views.
ZEN
This Japanese style restaurant specializes in oriental food and has a sushi bar overlooking the sea 50 feet below.
L’AZURE
A restaurant has been in this location for over 100 years. This stylish restaurant has spectacular views over the Crane Beach. It does a special Gospel Lunch on Sundays which are very popular. Because it is not far from the airport, the Crane is also a great place to finish your stay in Barbados. You can have lunch or just pop in for a rum punch on the windswept terraces.
CIN CIN
This modern stylish restaurant is on a cliff overlooking the west cast and is very popular.
THE WATERFRONT CAFÉ
One of the only restaurants in Bridgetown it is located alongside the careenage. It is very busy at lunch time and you can watch the the local game fishing boats land their catch. It is home to local Jazz musicians on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Enjoy your meal against the backdrop of the floodlit Parliament Buildings and the boats in the harbour.
